Airbourne released a new song, ‘Gutsy’, on June 6 – their first new music in six years.

Amorphis their new studio album ‘Borderland’ on September 26 via Reigning Phoenix.

Asia have signed with Frontiers and plan to release a live album & DVD, plus a new studio album is planned for 2026.

Asia featuring John Payne plan to have their new album ‘Aviana’ out later this year.

Battle Beast release their new album ‘Steelbound’ in October via Nuclear Blast.

Booze & Glory have released a new track, ‘Boys Will Be Boys’, taken from the band’s new album, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot’, which is released on 12 September through Concrete Jungle.

Burning Witches release their new album ‘Inquisition’ on August 22 via Napalm Records.

David Byrne’s new album ‘Who Is The Sky?’ will arrive through Matador Records on September 5.

Caravan release a 10LP set ‘The Shows of Ours…Live’ on August 22.

Belinda Carlisle releases a covers album entitled ‘Once Upon A Time In California’ on August 29.

Crashdïet are currently working on their new studio album with producer Patrik Flisk and have signed a deal with Ninetone.

Crowne release their third album, ‘Wonderland’, on Frontiers on August 22, with the first single off the album ‘Waiting For You’ released on June 3.

Danko Jones release their new album Leo Rising on November 21 via Perception/Reigning Phoenix Music and Sonic Unyon (for Canada).

Deep Purple reissue a remixed and expanded version of their ‘Rapture of the Deep’ album on August 29 as a CD Digipak, digital & 3LP editions. Universal Music have announced a new Super Deluxe Edition of ‘Made In Japan’ due out August 15 — exactly 53 years after the first performance was recorded.

Bruce Dickinson celebrates his 1994 album ‘Balls To Picasso’ via a part re-recorded, remixed and newly mastered version of the album called ‘More Balls To Picasso’ which is released on July 25.

Doro plans to release a tribute album to Lemmy in September. ‘Rock to Death’ will include Lemmy and Doro duetting on ‘Love Me Forver’ and ‘Alone Again’.

Dropkick Murphy’s release their new album ‘For The People’ on Dummy Luck Music/Play It Again Sam on July 4.

Edenbridge have announced their return to the Steamhammer/SPV label. The band will release their latest album ‘Set The Dark On Fire’ on January 16, 2026.

Enuff Z’Nuff released a new single ‘Heavy Metal’ on June 20, taken from their upcoming new album ‘Xtra Cherries’, which will be released via Cleopatra Records on July 25. The album features a number of guests including Journey’s Neal Schon, ex-Enuff Z’Nuff frontman Donnie Vie and Cheap Trick’s Robin Zander.

Laura Evans releases her second studio album ‘Out of Dark’ on October 17.

John Fogerty has rerecorded Creedence Clearwater Revival classics for an upcoming collection, ‘Legacy: the Creedence Clearwater Revival Years’, which will be released on August 22 via Concord.

Fury release their new album ‘Interceptor’ on September 5 on Mighty Music.

Genesis have announced that the upcoming deluxe box set reissue of their 1974 double album ‘The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway’ has been pushed back a second time from June 13 to a late autumn release date to be confirmed.

Good Charlotte release their eighth album Motel Du Cap on August 8.

Glenn Hughes releases his new album ‘Chosen’ on September 5 through Frontiers.

Jean-Michel Jarre will release Live In Bratislava’ through Sony Music Enetertainment on September 5. It features a guest spot from Queen’s Brian May.

Elton John’s ‘Live From the Rainbow Theatre With Ray Cooper’ gains a full release on July 25, having previously been a limited edition LP for this year’s Record Store Day.

Limbo Kids release their new EP ‘The Merintho’ on July 27.

Motley Crue release  a new compilation, ‘From The Beginning’, on September 12 via BMG. The album includes the recently released, new version of their song ‘Home Sweet Home’ with Dolly Parton duetting with Vince Neil.

Gary Numan releases ‘A Perfect Circle: Live’ on 25 July.

John Oates releases his latest album ‘Oates’ on August 29.

Pendulum release their first album in fifteen years. Entitled ‘Inertia’, it is released on August 2.

PowerWolf release a new live album, Blu-ray and DVD, ‘Wildlive (Live At Olympiahalle)’, on March 6, 2026 on Napalm Records.

Presto Ballet release their seventh studio album, ‘Dreamentia’, on June 27 via Rat Pak Records.

Sparks achieved their highest ever placing in the UK album charts as their latest album ‘MAD!’ reached number 2. Other acts doing well on the UK album charts this month include When Rivers Meet (no. 4), Skunk Anansie (no. 7) and Cardinal Black (no. 61).

Tim Arnold is leading a UK Government petition calling for legal rights to access essential services without being forced to use a digital device: The Super Connected Petition. His petition to safeguard non-digital access to essential services backed by Sir Stephen Fry, Dame Imelda Staunton, Midge Ure, Chrissie Hynde, and UK Charity Help Musicians. A Super Connected Petition Hub has been set up online with details on the petition and a space for the public to submit personal stories.

An Ozzy Osbourne exhibition will open at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery on June 25, and run through to September 28.

James Prime, the keyboardist and co-founder of Deacon Blue.

Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys, who had a string of hits in the 1960′s through to the early 1970′s. The band’s last US number 1 single was 1987′s ‘Kokomo’. Between 1995 and 2021, Brian Wilson released nearly a dozen solo albums – including 2004′s ‘Brian Wilson Presents Smile’ – and resumed touring regularly and in 2012 he officially reunited with the Beach Boys.

Al Jardine said -”Brian Wilson, my friend, my classmate, my football teammate, my Beach Boy bandmate and my brother in spirit, I will always feel blessed that you were in our lives for as long as you were. You were a humble giant who always made me laugh and we will celebrate your music forever.”

Bad Company co-founder member and guitarist Mick Ralphs (pictured) who had previously been a member of Mott The Hoople.  Paul Rodgers said via the Bad Company website: ““Our Mick has passed, my heart just hit the ground. He has left us with exceptional songs and memories. He was my friend, my songwriting partner, an amazing and versatile guitarist who had the greatest sense of humour.”
